European Super Cup Finals

Established by UEFA in 1972 as an annual match played between the European Cup and European Cup Winners Cup winners (until 1999) it is now played every August contesting the winners of both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League from the previous years European fixtures campaign. Hosted as a single leg match at a neutral venue since 1998 (originally played over two legs home and away) the final now acts as a curtain raiser to the upcoming European Football season.
